Profile

Raymond (Ray) Tramposch is an adjunct professor, MITRE Cyber Resiliency Engineer and retired United States Air Force (USAF) Cyber officer.  In his current role with MITRE, he supports the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Acquisitions and Sustainment Cyber Warfare Division in developing policy for mission focused cyber defense within the Department of Defense.  He also supports the USAF Enterprise IT as a Service program as a IT operations and Cyber security operations subject matter expert.

Over his 25 year career in the military, he held numerous technical and leadership roles from tactical communications employment to active defensive cyber operations, implemented component level risk management strategies, oversaw enterprise network operations and led USAF wide information technology acquisitions.  His military service culminated with his service as the Director of Cyber Forces for 1st Air Force supporting 24/7 Air Defense of the Homeland under U.S. Northern Command and NORAD.
